What to Do If You Are Sick

Common symptoms for COVID-19 are cough, fever, sore throat, and muscle pain. If you experience one of these, it is best to isolate yourself from your family or others just in case of positive infection, while monitoring the symptoms and waiting for a test.

Other symptoms include:

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

What to Consider When Going Out

  • Maintain at least 6 feet of space between you and others to avoid contracting the virus.
  • As much as possible, stay in an outdoor or wide space with proper ventilation.
  • Always wear masks all the time when going out.
  • Avoid touching public surfaces, if you do, wash hands immediately with alcohol or hand sanitizer.
  • Spend less time outside, and try to do all your errands within that day to avoid going out again.
  • Stay home if you are sick.

How to stop the spread of COVID-19 if you are sick

  • Stay home. You can get treated at home if you are experiencing mild symptoms. Do not leave home and isolate yourself from others and your family
  • Take care of yourself. Always get sufficient sleep and rest. Keep a bottle of water by your side to remind you to drink water and stay hydrated. Take medications prescribed by your doctor to help you feel better.
  • Always get in touch with your doctor. If you have any warning signs, get immediate care.
